GlossyBox Review

Glossybox is  monthly beauty box that costs $21/month. Although it is twice the price of subscription boxes like Ipsy and Birchbox, it really does offer something entirely different. The Glossybox contents tend to be quite high end and we almost always get at least one high value full size product (often several full size items.) I've discovered some great brands through Glossybox and it remains one of my favorite beauty boxes. This September Glossybox review is coming to you in October because, well, Glossy is good at many things but timely shipping is not one of them. But when  a box is this awesome... I don't even care. One of the best Glossyboxes of the year for me!

Nioxin (3.4 fl oz, full size, retail $50): I've been dying to try Nioxin since my sister told me it worked miracles for her hair.

The fact is, they are full of spectacular high quality products and I just can't quite quit Glossy for good. This month I got over $100 in product, and the box is only $21 monthly! Get your Glossy here: Glossybox

BuddhiBox Review

BuddhiBox, which ships to both the United States and Canada, is a yoga focused subscription box that ships once a month. Every BuddhiBox features between 4 and 6 full size products that are chosen for a yoga lover's lifestyle.

The boxes are $30.95 per month, and you can reduce costs significantly with a 6-month subscription at $27.95/month. If you buy a yearly sub, your boxes average out to just $25.95 per month.

You can also get a sample box that has 2 to 3 sample sized items for $11.95 per month. If you loved certain items in this review, you can buy some of them in the BuddhiBox flash sale.

Gypsy Soul Freak of Nature Aromatherapy Spray, retail $9.99: This spray is perfect for a quick boost during the day. It smells fantastic, and I am happy to have discovered this brand through BuddhiBox. It contains Peppermint, Lavender, Eucalyptus, Bergamot, Clove, Fir Needle, and a few other pure essential oils. I mainly get lavender and mint, and the combo is wonderful.
Erin's Faces Firming Eye Gel, retail $25: This is a firming eye gel made with aloe vera juice. It has a metal roller ball that makes application a breeze, and I absolutely love the cooling sensation once applied.
Bear's Beauty Zinc Sun Lover's Cream, retail $10: This is a timely inclusion since it's the hottest time of year and I am a sun lover. This is clear sun block, is all natural, and is safe for the face.
October Fields Soy Candle in Nag Champa, retail $7: This candle is simply amazing. Extremely well scented, and among my favorite candles ever received in a sub box. So perfect for meditating and yoga sessions!
Yogi Balm for Lips, from October Fields, retail $3.50: This is handmade, vegan, completely cruelty free lip balm and it smells great. It's also quite moisturizing. I'm always thrilled to get more lip balms, even though I get so many lippies from sub boxes.
Auromere Ayurvedic Massage Oil, sample size: This is meant to rejuvenate both the body and the skin. It apparently works well for soreness and aches, so I plan to use this next time I have a pulled muscle!
Happy Matcha, now known as Skinny Matcha, is sending a $49.95 pack! It didn't make it in time for inclusion in the box, but I got email confirmation that it was already mailed. I've been wanting to try Matcha for so long, but the high price held me back. Very excited to get this, what a great value.
Every BuddhiBox comes with a pose of the month. July's pose is the Boat Pose!
BuddhiBox sent a recipe from the Simple Sweet Vegan, and this looks pretty good. Sweet potato brownie. Will give this a try over the weekend!
Every single item in this box is something that I can use, and in fact I'm using all of it already. With as many subscription boxes as I have received, I can say that it's a pretty rare thing to find each and every item in the box so useful. As a great bonus, the value is very high. This was more than $100 in items for just  $30.95. This is a remarkable value for a subscription box.

BuddhiBox gets an A+ from me, and I definitely look forward to seeing what they do in the future! You can try it out here: BUDDHIBOX!

Wantable Beauty Box Review

Wantable is a makeup/beauty box that sends out 4-5 full size products, custom chosen for your preferences, each month. They tend to send very good brands, mainly high end and mid end, no drugstore products. The subscription is $36/monthly and you can skip a month whenever you like. Typically, my boxes are in the $90 to $100 range, which is quite nice for the price.

Wantable Beauty Box
Mirabella Lipstick (retail $22): Lovely wearable shade that is very subtle - my favorite look for lips. I like either neutral type colors or pinky shades, so they always honor that and avoid the wilder colors for me.
3 Custom Color Eyeshadow in Smoke: (retail $22.50) I've received several of the other 3CC shades and thus far been quite pleased with them. Happy to have a darker shade like this.
Exterior of the 3CC shadow.
Vincent Longo Foundation Brush #37 (retail $30):This is unquestionably a high quality, super soft brush. Happy to have this to expand my brush collection! Love it so much.
Trina Tarantino Mascara: (retail $19): This is such a gorgeous gunmetal grey package for mascara! I've tried it once and I'm pretty pleased with it. Not clumpy and adds nice volume.

Another photo of the mascara just because it's beautiful. The prettiest mascara container I may have ever seen.

FabFitFun VIP Box: Summer Box

FabFitFun VIP box is quarterly subscription that sends out the best of seasonal goodies four times a year. This is a review of a past box (summer 2015) to give you an idea of what to expect. This year, 2016, we will be getting  Trink Turk tote bag, a yoga towel, and assorted other items. The box costs $50 per season.

A 14 karat rose gold dipped pendant from Wren: The retail value is $99! This pendant features a black sapphire in the center. It is beautiful, and I'm lucky to have received the variation I hoped for. They also sent out horseshoes and hearts.
Gorge "I'll Make Your Hair Look Amazing" Daily Spray(retail $25)Inkling Aromatherapy Rollerball Perfume in "Sultry," (retail $25) and Tarte Lipsurgence Lip Gloss (retail $19). I've heard great things about how well Gorge works for conditioning and protecting from heat, will try soon. I adore the Inkling perfume, it's a potent scent that really lasts. And Tarte, well...it's Tarte so that means it's awesome. Color's a bit bright but it sheers out pretty well.
The Vaseline Spray Moisturizer is a sponsored product, and it is one of my favorites from the whole box. It smells so, so, wonderful. The spray is really unique but I like it and got used to it quickly. It retails for $9, but I'm going to buy it again even though that seems pricey for the brand. The Konjac sponge, retail $12, is the one item I didn't love. I know they're very popular right now for face cleansing but these sponges feel slimy to me and I can't get used to them.
FabFitFun Everyday Wireless Speaker – Retail $29.99. This speaker can be used with any smartphone. It also has an FM radio, so it's fun to take to the beach etc.
A three month subscription to Headspace. It's a meditation app that I've already fallen in love with. Extremely useful. You can sign up for your free trial with no credit card required if you use the code on the card. Each code is unique.
Scratch Nail Wraps: These were the only dud of the box for me. I am horrible at applying nail wraps. When combined with the ... kinda odd look of these, I wasn't thrilled at all. They look like they might be best suited to the junior high crowd to me.
