Doteable Review

Doteable was launched in January 2013 as "Subscription care packages for the college soul," and it is geared towards young men and women who are living in the dorms. Dorm living is definitely different than living at home and Doteable recognizes those differences, then makes dorm living much more home-like...and more fun as well!

The Doteable I received is for my cousin Tina, who lives in the dorms just a few minutes away from my home.  When we unpacked it and took photos she was absolutely thrilled -- and so was I. In fact, one of the first things I said is, "I really wish PopSugar would do themes this well."

The reusable bag is very nice and had everything packaged neatly inside. On top was a card explaining the theme: "Sail Away." Since it's almost summertime, this Doteable celebrates with some seaworthy goodies that make you think of vacations and fun.

These stylish aviators are such a classic style. They look great on any face type, and they're a summer essential. We both loved these!

What a stunning infinity scarf! Shades of blue from the deepest navy to the palest azure, just beautiful! I wanted to keep this for myself!

As Doteable tells us, they sent this sturdy but compact umbrella along to ward off April showers! Very high quality and since most dorm dwellers lose their umbrellas constantly, this will perfectly timed.

One of the favorites of the box! This paracord type bracelet has got the cutest anchor charm on it -- it's really unique and has already received lots of compliments when Tina wore it yesterday.

Every Doteable delivery includes a cute pair of underwear! This month's was in an adorable blue/white striped boy short, perfect for the sailing theme! Doteable does get sizes when you sign up so you can be sure your student has the perfect size in underwear, shirts, or other clothes items.

The treats: Marich Chocolate Espresso Beans (absolutely fantastic, Tina generously let me try a few!) She said these went perfectly with her coffee while pulling all-nighters for exams. The Trident Tropical Twist is something every student wants to have in their pocket or purse, and we thought it was a great inclusion.

The Doteable delivery also included a pretty pink triple-blade razor, which again is something that every dorm student needs. What really impressed me about Doteable is that it is such a perfect balance of necessities and fun.

As I look at these photos again, I'm struck by how relevant this subscription box would be for not only college students but also for nearly any sub box lover. This is really what I wish a lot of the lifestyle boxes would do each month. Great accessories that work for everyone, delicious treats, and some essentials you know you can use. As you can see, it's a fantastic assortment of items with a stated value of more than $70 each month.
