Lootcrate Review: May 2013

LootCrate for May!

This Loot Crate review covers the May box, which has a theme of "Equip." The idea was to give us some gamer and geek-approved items that would help equip us for life today. This is always such a fun one to open, partially because they don't do spoilers: The only thing I usually know ahead of time is what the theme of the box is!

An 8 Bit Bow Tie!
This bowtie is covered with cute little 8-bit space invaders. Although I am not personally a bowtie wearer, I did find a model to demonstrate its versatility as a headband.
Love this Super Mario theme tin! Like the Space Invaders tin from last month, this one is filled with candies. Of course, the candy is coin-shaped. They are also pretty good candy, a sour strawberry flavor.
Ninja Cord Wrap: This cute little thing will keep your electronics cords neatly wrapped and help avoid tangling disasters.
Inanimate Stickers (Fred and Friends): Stickers for your laptop, books, walls...and Papercraft Ironman: This papercraft is Iron Man in the Iron Man 3 Mark 17 "Heartbreaker" suit.
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans will love this: A "Don't Panic Remember Your Towel" towel. May 25th is National Towel day, by the way!
This card (there is a unique code on it) is good for a one year sub to Pure Nintendo digital mag. Love this!
This action figure was not listed on the card that comes with the box, so it was a nice surprise. The Flash figure came from a series of DC Comics figures. I wish I had gotten Wonder Woman though.
Loot Crate gave gamers and self-professed geeks another good box this month.
I enjoyed the box this month, although not as much as last month's "Token" theme one. Loot Crate has not let me down with a bad box yet, making it one of a handful of subscription boxes I can say that about.
As always, finishing up LootCrate reviews makes me start wondering what the next month has in store for us. Can't wait for June! Want to try LootCrate yourself? You can get it for $19.37 monthly, but using the code EQUIP or 3OFF will give you a 3 dollar discount for your first crate. Get it here: LootCrate!
