Lootcrate Review: July 2013

LootCrate is a subscription box that is made for the gamers and the geeks of the world. This is admittedly a niche subscription box that won't suit everyone -- but for those it DOES suit, it's perfect. I call this a subscription box that puts you in gamer heaven. Whether you're into classic gaming or modern multiplayer mayhem, LootCrate will probably have something you'll love every month. This LootCrate review covers July 2013, and it's an awesome month.
LootCrate for July
The Rocket Jump sticker is from the team that brings us Video Game High School. The other sticker (made by Danger Brain) is a storm trooper proudly wearing a Video Game High School jacket.
This button set covers all the specialty schools of Video Game High School, a really cute thing to include. The buttons are a bit bigger than quarters.
Starwars Earbuds: These are C-3PO Earbuds and I was so super-geeky excited to get these. Already attached to my phone! There were several versions: Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and Yoda. I so want to get a Yoda set also. These are really nicely made and much prettier than the photo really shows.
Pez Marvel Character Candy Dispenser with 3 Pez Refills: I got Spiderman, which I was quite pleased with since my nephew is a huge Spidey fan and appreciates this very much!
Sonic the Hedgehog Air Freshener: Sonic is one of my favorite video game characters ever so I'm happy to have this adorable air freshener in his spiky blue image.
Video Game High School 2 disc DVD set: These DVDs cover the whole first season and are compiled in the form of an extended movie with bonus footage. This series was new to me, and I'm now a fan. It's funny and whimsical, and I plan to watch these discs over again and keep up with new episodes in the future.
A Video Game High School "Emergency Wireless Keyboard" pencil: Funny and cute! This really rounded out the box theme well.
This is my favorite LootCrate yet. I've never been let down by LC yet, but some months were not as good as others. This month was just super fun and EVERY item was put into use right away. I think those C3PO earbuds are one of the best subscription box items I've had this year (admittedly I am a huge Star Wars fan.)

Want to try it? You can get LootCrate for $19.37/month, and it's worth it every single time in my opinion. They also send out mega-crates and special prize packages each month to random subscribers, and those prizes are super impressive (one day I will win a mega crate, I swear!) Get it here: LootCrate
