Orange Glad Review

Orange Glad is a new subscription box that sends out baked goods and artisan sweets each month. The month to month plan is $15, plus $6.95 shipping & handling. Since these are sweets that are highly perishable and/or meltable this shipping cost seems quite fair, since mine arrived in perfect condition.

If you love sweets and want to sample some of the most unique gourmet treats from across the US, Orange Glad is a great choice in my opinion. I was really pleased with my first box!

The Orange Glad box
Unboxed
Chocolate Cake Bites from I Live for Dessert: These two little deep chocolate cake bites are moist cake filled with bittersweet chocolate chips and cocoa. We dusted them with the included cocoa powder/chocolate mix and they were really great. So rich that just one will satisfy your chocolate craving.
Pineapple Coconut Biscotti from Hottie Biscotti: These two decadently dipped biscotti have a layer of white chocolate and are then rolled in flaky coconut. The taste of pineapple is fairly slight, with coconut and white chocolate being more predominant. This is absolutely my favorite fancy biscotti that I've ever had. A creative flavor that I fell in love with.
Lemon Frosted Sugar Cookies from Gianna's Homemade Baked Goods: These are very soft sugar cookies with lemon icing. The lemon is something I wasn't sure I'd like, but it was perfectly done: A hint of lemon so that you knew it was there but it was definitely not overpowering at all. Not too sweet, not too sour, this would be a great cookie with tea, I think.
Popcornopolis Caramel Corn with Chocolate Stripes: This was so, so, decadent and incredible. It is not just your ordinary caramel corn: It is the richest, most buttery caramel corn imaginable and it has drizzles of chocolate on top. So delicious.
Chocolate Sprinkles Crispycakes from The Crispery Crispy Cakes: The best rice krispy treat ever. It was sweeter and more dense than your standard rice krispy treat. Absolutely awesome. The krispies are layered with marshmallow fluff and then topped with a layer of chocolate sprinkles. This was HUGE and around 2 inches thick. I shared it with several others and we all got a very big piece of it.
A wooden honey dipper was also included in the box! I loved this unexpected inclusion because it is an item that I'll be able to use for a long time.

I absolutely loved the Orange Glad box, especially because it's the first box of its type: It's not candy-specific, but has baked goods of all kinds. The portions were very generous and this box is plenty of treats for a couple or a family. It's a great way to discover some unique new food favorites. I'd recommend this for any sweets lover or any foodie as a fantastic gift. Want the September Orange Glad? Order it here: Orange Glad
