Wantable Beauty Box Review: December 2013

Wantable is a makeup subscription box that continues to grow in popularity thanks to their customization and high retail values. For $36 monthly, they will custom create a makeup box with 4-5 full size high quality makeup items for you, and they also usually throw in free bonus items each month.

Box contents are based upon the in-depth quiz that you complete. You're allowed to tweak your quiz from month to month, and it's very easy to influence what you get: The items that you choose "Love" and "Like" on are going to appear in your box, and those you choose "Hate" on will not appear. The more detailed you are with your quiz, the more specific and customized your box will be, so it is WELL worth it to take a few minutes to really consider your quiz answers. Manna Kadar Sheer Glo Shimmer Lotion in 3 "Perfect"(retail $29): This was a nice surprise. It's a "face illuminator" that can be mixed with foundation or worn on its own. It gives a shimmer to the areas it's applied to, like the browbone etc. This is really nice, and the bottle will last quite a while.

Girlactik Pout Shine Lip Gloss in "Stunning"(retail $19): After reading so many great reviews of Girlactik products, I was hoping I'd get one when Wantable started carrying them. This sheer berry shade gloss has subtle gold sparkles, it is stunning!

NcLA Nail Wraps (retail $16): These are super pretty so I am saving them for a special occasion. I have a love/hate relationship with nail wraps. When I can get them applied perfectly I love them. They last for at least a week and look perfect. However, I am not that great with application sometimes and that leads to me peeling them off in frustration when that happens. Best thing with nail wraps, in my opinion, is not to rush while applying them for the best chance of salon perfect nails.

Michael Marcus Lipstick in "Stephanie" (retail $24): This is a beautiful shade, fairly neutral. I've been pretty happy with the Michael Marcus items I've had thus far , so I look forward to using this.

Skiin Instant Skin Tightener and Line Filler: This was an extra and not listed on the retail values, but I estimate it's worth around $5. This is literally my favorite item of the box and I was thrilled to get it! Skiin works amazingly well. If you look tired, have dark circles, etc and put a light layer of this on under your eyes you can literally feel your skin tightening up. It makes you look 100 percent more awake in minutes, never seen a product like this. Love it! I've had this in BB5 before and had just run out of that sample, so was particularly thrilled to get this in Wantable as an extra. By the way, if Wantable wants to send me this extra every single month I will never complain!
