Birchbox Review: November 2013

BirchBox is one of my favorite subscription box reviews to do for a few reasons: It's only $10 per month, you earn $5 per month in credit just for doing short reviews of the products you get in the box, and they really send a nice mix of items. Even if I don't love every single item in my Birchbox each month, I usually use most these samples up pretty quickly, which does attest to their value and quality. The November box was pretty good! This Birchbox review covers the November 2013 Birchbox.

Unboxed!
Tea. They love to send me tea. I've got plenty of tea-lover relatives and friends, one of whom will get this. Some people got full size Ghiardelli chocolate bars in the box instead of tea, and I'm trying to remind myself it's better for my diet to not get the candy bar.
Stainiac from theBalm: Was super excited to get this sample lippie because I have heard hugely positive buzz about how long lasting this lip tint is. It looks way darker in the bottle, and is actually quite lovely on.

Folle de Joie: Half good, half "meh" on this one. Loved the packaging, but the scent was just okay. I like getting the perfume samples (Birchbox almost always sends them out in atomizer style, which is great to drop into your purse or travel with).
Tiossan Dakar Body Lotion: This was in "Fatale" scent, which I've heard great raves about. Unfortunately, to me it is extremely lightly scented and I'd say pretty close to unscented. So, I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what, but ... oh well, at least it's quite thick and seems to be a good body moisturizer.
DDR Amplifying Elixir: This is from a brand I've previously sampled in Birchbox and is a very nice sized sample of 0.5 oz. It says it boosts your skin's moisture barrier by as much as 70 percent, which sounds great going into the dry skin winter season.
Color Club Mini in Baldwin Blues: What a great color, was very pleased to see this in my box! Amazingly enough, I don't have a blue in quite this shade and it looks even nicer on.
