PopSugar Must Have Review: January 2014

PopSugar has some of the most consistently fun and useful lifestyle subscription boxes today, in my opinion. This subscription box sends out new and trendy items in the areas of fashion, food, style, and home -- and almost always full size items, at that. I really like PSMH because I almost always find out that at least one item from each box becomes a must have for me. Example: Last month, the unexpected "must have" for me was the Govino champagne flutes.

Malin + Goetz Detox Face Mask (retail $40): I was really excited to try this! The mask foams up with tiny bubbles and feels so fantastic on. I've only tried it twice but so far I love it and I have noticed how completely clean my skin feels after using it.
Jack + Lucy Tech Gloves (retail $16-$20 -- not listed online so that's an estimate based on other similar gloves): Love these because I don't own a pair of tech gloves but I needed them. They fit well and do work nicely for my phone screen, so I am pleased! I would have perhaps preferred a different (more exciting) color, but these will go with quite a lot of different clothes.
Juice Generation Book (retail $20): At first I was not too excited by this book, but I'm quite pleased with it now that I've looked through it. The book has gorgeous photos and plenty of intriguing sounding recipes. I'm not a juicer but I do love smoothies, so I have been trying to decide which smoothie recipe to try out first!
Revlon by Marchesa Box o' Files (retail $3.49): This is not exactly a thrilling item, but I will admit they are cute mini nail files and I have already used a few of them. I've got the little box in my makeup case and it's perfectly sized. It's a bit of a random toss in, but it is a practical one, at least for me.

Pipcorn Mini Popcorn in "Truffle" Flavor (retail $6): This is seriously delicious! The truffle flavor was something I was pretty unsure about but this distinctive yet subtle taste is perfect. It's impossible to describe, but it's definitely delectable.

Rifle Paper Co Flip Around the World Desk Calendar (retail $16): This is a charming calendar that features some of the world's most exciting cities. I love the size of it and the fact that it stands up perfectly. I have it on the kitchen island right now and it looks so cute.

The subscription costs $39.99/monthly, but you can get big discounts for subbing for 3,6, or 12 months. The retail value of each PopSugar Must Have box is guaranteed to be at least $100, and quite often we see $150 to $200 in retail value.

This was a very good month for PopSugar and I am so excited to see what they will do for February (valentines day month, I bet we get some indulgent fun stuff!) You can use the code REFER5 to get $5 off your first month here: PopSugar
