StylingOn Review

StylingOn is an online personal stylist service that sends entire outfits to you at home.  You get to take a style quiz that really allows you to let the stylist know about your personal tastes and style, and it allows you to leave personal notes as well.

You may choose any budget you like, for example if you want each piece to be $100 and less, you can choose that, or go on up to $200 plus per piece ( and if your budget is lower you can also specify that to your stylist!) In my case, I feel accessories are the less important thing right now and I chose the less expensive accessory option and wanted to get more expensive pieces for the top, pants, and shoes. You can set your own budget for each piece, and you will normally get around 5-6 pieces, or an entire outfit.

Once you get your clothes, you try them on and keep what  you want to keep. You can return items/switch items you don't like in the prepaid return envelope, and you pay NO styling fee. Any returned items will be refunded back. No obligation at all, so it really is worth a try in my opinion. StylingOn is not a regular subscription unless you wish for it to be, and you can simply order a new box anytime you're ready.

I asked the stylist to keep in mind that I don't want work clothes but I do want "going out" type clothes and that I really prefer dark colors, especially black. I am really extremely happy with how well my taste was matched. I'd even venture to say it is fairly amazing as I am notoriously picky with my clothes and I'm not much on trying new styles. StylingOn convinced me to try something new while still not taking me too far outside of my comfort levels.

lifestyle and tastes – your favorite designers, your body type, budget, etc.
Based on that information, you’ll be matched with a stylist who will handpick pieces they feel suit your style needs and preferences. We will then ship the items to you in your personalized Style Box. The $500 prize will go towards the content of your box.

The box it all came in was shaped like a suitcase! This is by far the coolest (and most massive!) box I've received from a subscription box yet.
Little touches are so important: The handles were bejeweled.
First look: Each item individually packaged and cushioned well at the bottom and top.
This top is a gorgeous green leather made by W118 By Walter Baker. It retails for $78 and is soft as butter with a beautiful hunter green shade. I love this top, and I didn't expect to. This is where a personal stylist is really so valuable -- she got me to try something (in this case a peplum) that I'd never thought of wearing before. It's obviously super high quality, and has a black zipper that zips top to bottom in the back.
These black denim pants are made by SL8 and retail for $78. In my style profile I asked for denim and told my sylist Lidia that I tend to wear a lot of black but was willing to branch out. She found a way to give me my beloved black and denim as well in these. They are stretch skinny jeans and I 100 % adore and LOVE them! One thing that I do not believe in ever skimping on is denim because high quality brands really do fit and feel differently to me. These fit beautifully and I wear them all the time with a variety of tops.
And my favorites of the box: The Kelsi Dagger pumps, which retail at $120. These ombre pumps are like nothing I have, and again they are nothing I'd have ever thought of on my own. Obviously they are an amazing accompaniment to the top, but they can absolutely make an outfit all on their own.
It should also be noted that my stylist sent me a size 6.5 in these shoes with a note telling me that they run small. That is pretty amazing. I had listed my size as a 6, and she actually made sure to go a half size up because this brand tends to run small. And they fit perfectly.
Mystique necklace, which retails at $50, is from a brand that I've had before in Little Black Bag. I like the brand very much and I do feel the jewelry is nice. This is definitely a statement necklace, but it is an ideal way to pull together the whole look.

The polish and the lipstick are both from Loreal and I did test this oxblood shade of polish against a new Julep one I had and must admit it looks great. The lipstick I've yet to try but I like the way these fall/winter shades really make the whole outfit seasonally appropriate.

StylingOn felt like such a personalized experience -- Lidia made notes on the outfit, explaining why she chose each piece and referencing my personal preferences on each. I can't wait to try another StylingOn box -- this is definitely a service I would trust to pick out the perfect outfit for a big interview, a special night out, or nearly anything else. They really do listen to your specific tastes, which is very refreshing.

StylingOn is giving away a free box with a whopping $500 in free clothes and accessories to one lucky reader! All you have to do to get in on the giveaway is enter below with the Rafflecopter widget. Best of luck, this is an AMAZING prize! a Rafflecopter giveaway
